Wildflowers Climate Crisis

Our future King has collaborated with the government to promote his love of nature and learning by ensuring that every state funded Primary school receives a selection of wild flower seeds, in honour of his coronation. If your school has been luckily enough to receive these seeds, rTriibe would love to hear and see how you have incorporated these flowers around your school. Please send any photos with a short description on to Erin@rtriibe.com.

If you use this gov.uk link this will provide you with school lesson plans and resources for both primary and secondary schools to be able to learn more about the history and traditions of the monarchy within the UK. The Living paintings charity has kindly developed a sensory learning package that has been gifted to so many schools. However, if you have not been able to receive one of these gifts, they have produced many online resources available for you by clicking here.

While many schools will have been fortunate enough to receive these wild flower seeds, you may want to take part in this activity with the children at home. There are many places that you can buy wildflower seeds from at a low price and to help with learning about these flowers and how to grow them the Eden Project has put together there very own how to page specifically for the coronation celebrations, simply click here.

Last but not least, the Department for Education has teamed up with the Natural History Museum to establish a new National Education Nature Park and climate action awards scheme, giving more young people a chance to connect with nature and learn more about biodiversity and climate change. “This partnership is led by the Natural History Museum with the Royal Horticultural Society, supported by the Royal Society, the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), Manchester Metropolitan University, Learning Through Landscapes, UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology and the National Biodiversity Network Trust. Collectively we are the UK’s leading institutions within our fields, with world class expertise and brand recognition across schools and higher education, science research, and public engagement with nature”.* For more information on how to get involved or to obtain the grants available for school please click here.
